One to offend the purists, if it's any consolation I bought it in 1989 and it was already a pick up.

Of my 3 Land Rovers, this is probably my favourite picture.

A friend with a Land Rover 101 bet I wouldn't be able to get up a very steep, cross axle section. I wasn't aware the water at the bottom was quite so deep, the front just slowly started to fall in hehe Completely standard 3.9 V8 on road tyres, just lower bumper removed. Still unsure how I managed to climb the steep hill the other side, my Ninety on MT's once had to take a second go at it!

Ha ha everyone loves the 101 !! Went to the pub to meet a family member who had the new L405 and I took the 101, parked next to each other the 101 had dads and kids crawling all over it the L405 go no interest at all !!

Had to laugh !!

Love the 101

Why Land Rover dropped them seems odd, considering that less than ten years after the last ones were cast the MOD went shopping for Pinzgauer. Never understood why they never sold them on the civvy market either. Appreciate there would've probably been a little more to do to make them road legal for civilians but it strikes me as a massive missed opportunity. frown
There's a tidy 101 Ambulance in the bay at the mo. Under £7k.....must resist........must.....resist.

To be fair the 101 is an aquired taste !! I think it's almost gallons to the mile !! ( well actually it's probably 5/6 mpg !!)

Those pingauzers are a bit mental from the look if it, haven't driven one and don't know much about them but I had one overtake me on the long cross test track when I was invited to try the new ( previousl one) porsche boxter there ! And I wasn't hanging about !

Now you wouldn't be doing that in the 101 unless the boxster had stopped !!
