The bonnet, scuttle panel and lower tailgate have come out very nicely, the original paint down the sides is better than it was but still needs a fair bit of work doing but that will require the wings and doors coming off to do it properly.

Loving it !! Just got mine back on the road this week after 7 years off the road !! One MOT advisory .. oil leek !!

Had a dreadful experience with the garage ended up claiming off garage insurance for damage / poor workmanship and winning but took 9 months.

Mine still needs work ( re paint, new wheel nuts, service and other bits however)

i need a few suggestions chaps.
I had planned to buy a family wagon, fairly cheaply, to run for for a couple of years and take us around and about. Sadly my cunning plan fell through at the last minute so I keep looking at my old LSE to step up to the mark.
Bodily its rust free now but the engine is really quite tired. Air suspension works as it should, brakes are new etc.
Its done 200k, 130k on lpg (ish) and clearly needs a new cam, rockers etc and could probably do with being pulled out and rebuilt completely. It goes but its really slow. Now its never going to be swift but it can't have been this bad when it was new.
So as I have some money that I didn't spend (£5k or so) how should I spend it to achieve a reliable, comfortable vehicle.
I think I'd see the money back in resale afterwards (it needs a respray to look its best).

I'm going to have a spare 3.9 in due course. It's done 120k and is from a one owner '96 Disco auto. The car has full service history and I've been driving it and the engine is absolutely lovely.

I'd rather it went to a Rangie or TVR enthusiast on PH than onto Ebay so if you think that might be your best solution then do feel free to drop me a line.

I have a decent condition lower tailgate for sale if anyone's interested as I
no longer need it.

The only serious rust is around the number plate light holes but that's pretty
easily fixed.

I would prefer cash on collection for this but if you wish to arrange a courier
its bubble wrapped and in a box ready to go.

Wow it looks beautiful. Yesterday I dragged my dads Range Rover out of the barn it had been dumped in the past 6 months in order to get it back on the road. It will be no where near as nice as yours but hopefully it will be reasonable. It was a VM diesel with a manual box but was changed 20 years ago at great expense to a 3.5 Turbo diesel Mazda SLTi and auto box the bill was almost £15,000
!
