Do any of the Land Rover owners clubs provide discounts at dealerships. For example with Porsche Club GB you would get 10% off parts as inclusive of your membership. Also is there any website which will show me what options my car has, if I enter the chassis number?

Thanks

I think Topix is the website to check the spec of your car. (I may well be wrong)

If you call Landrover customer services, they will send you the build sheet of the car showing what was fitted to it at the factory.

You get no such luxuries with club associations, Land Rover are selling a brand these days and can barely be bothered with the clients they do have, let alone offer discounts to encourage memberships and brand loyalty.

As has been said, topix and CS at LR to get build sheet for your car, as long as it's newer than 2005 then you shouuld be lucky, anything older and pot luck.

The fundamental issue with LR clubs is that by and large they cater for obselete models and Defenders rather than the current model range.

Thanks for the information chaps, not surprised at LR not having loyalty schemes.

Another interesting observation as I am new to the marque is that the dealerships don't do warranty health checks for cars under manufacturer warranty. Recently did the land rover experience which was great fun and was amazed at what the cars are capable of but the instructor off the record did say the customer service culture is poor in land rover. Guess the product sells itself but is that enough in this day and age?

nice selective quote there ...

demonstrating your ignorance of the LR scene as well, I doubt many cloub members with Defenders have factory original vehicles outside the obsolete limited editions ...

the defender is an anachronism in the current dealership set-up , many other makers would relegate the defender to a limited number of specialist dealers able to cope with the fundamentally commercial vehicle nature of the Defender vs the very different demographic the FL/ evoque / RRS / FFRR targets and who also make up a fair chunk of D4 buyers.

generally an enthuiast's series > defender has substantial modifications to it ...

I took out the bit about Series as on that front you were spot on and hence it wasn't relevant to my point.
Never mind Petal.
