Part of the Appeal (to me)of the new RRS is the extra two seats to allow four adults to travel with up to 3 Kids BUT, its only available with the 20' wheels. Presumably the wheel arch inner has had to be reduced to fit the +2 seats.

I am not sure if the issue is the different widths of the 21 and 22' packages that causes what is presumably a collision condition to the inner arch or the diameter that causes the collision?

The question is can the 22' wheels and tyres be fitted and driven in normal ride height Settings?...i would undertsand the manufacturer would not want a situation where in (say) the lowest ride height setting or in full off-road articulation the 22' could touch the inner arch, but i am wondering if i could fit 22's and run around in normal Settings not doing anything too extreme and in winter and when off roading, fit the 20' it would ber delivered on.

Thoughts and info welcome.

Low profile tyres look awful and are pointless on a 4x4

Its actually the load ratings of the tires in 21 & 22 that prevent wheels of that size them from being fitted.

Thanks, but you sure about that?...The specs show max axle load for 5 and 5 + 2 as the same.

Have you had a look at and tried the extra seats?

If not, have a look first before you make up your mind.

You can have 21's with 5+2 seating.

Those seats are designed for small children for short distances, not as a "3rd row".

We tried one recently and I am afraid the +2 really is not what it said on the tin. Our 7 and 9 year olds really struggled in the back for more than a few minutes so we are back to another Disco. It is definitely worth trying a test drive with the children in the back to see how comfortable they are.

Thanks Guys, i guess i really Need to try the +2 seats on a test drive as suggested.

The configurator onkly lets you choose 20' with the 5+2 i wish i could get a definitive answer, if 21 fit or 22 the dealer here in Germany can only tell me what the configurator tells him.

Thats the reason we were told we could not spec 21's or 22's with the 5+2.
Was academic in the end, as others have said dropped the option when we found you had to have no legs to fit in the seats.

Buy what you want
The kids can travel in a roof box ( with air holes of course).
