1962 Series 2 electrics help

My 1962 series 2 V8 has no current running to the fuel pump (which works find with a 12v connected straight to it) or the fuel or temp gauges. The 2 fuses under the bonnet are fine. Car won't start unless I connect a 12 v straight to the pump, and theres no power to the fuel pump with that needs to be pulled out before it will start. Any thoughts? Am I missing the position for another fuse somewhere?
