Those two are showing on the dvla as 2.2 diesels. I still suspect the launch will be with the old engines, which would delay me thinking about buying one until the ingenium engines are standard. All assuming they have more rear floor space than the FL2. Be interesting to know if it is more capable than the Evoque who's floor pan it is suppose to be sitting on.
The one on the left was registered a week ago and white. The one on the right is red and registered in May. Which ties in with their wing mirror colours.

I'm looking forward to seeing it, the interior looks pretty nice.
Am I right in thinking this is the freelander's replacement? If so, safe bet that it'll be carrying a lot of clues as to what the disco 4 / lr4 replacement will be like?
This is the Discovery Vision Concept. Nothing confirmed, but this could be what the Discovery 5 will look like. Am I right in thinking this is the freelander's replacement? If so, safe bet that it'll be carrying a lot of clues as to what the disco 4 / lr4 replacement will be like?
If the Disco Sport turns out to be a looker, then I can see it steeling sales of the Evoque. I'm sure LR are aware of this and I can see the Sport being dumbed down in every area, just so its worse than the the Evoque.

They will come out with the 2.2 first. The Ingenium engines have been delayed and will come out in the Jaguar XE first. The XE is the priority for Jaguar Land Rover right now as the future of Jaguar rests heavily on it. It shouldn't be long till engine production is up to speed so once they can cope with demand Land Rover will get the Ingenium. David87 said:
The Discovery name would suggest it should move the game on quite significantly.
My guess is that LR will have 3 brand streams. Range Rover - Plush (FF RR, RRS, Evoque)
Discovery - Family (Disco, Disco Sport)
Land Rover - Most utilitarian (New Defender Cars & Commercials)
I could be wrong

The new engines are expected to go in Autum 2015. I shall wait for that. I have the Evoque and the 2.2 not bad ,but if buying the new Disco sport you going to want the new engine
I agree, but I can't help thinking the 2.2 engine will be more reliable than the new 2.0. Call me cynical but will the tried and tested lump be a better option until the new engine's gremlins have been ironed out?It is a Land Rover after all?

Perhaps when the new lump is standard it may actually be good time to pull the trigger on the 'old' 2.2 Disco Sport as a run out model. Like most LRs I doubt there will be many opportunities to get a discount on one otherwise.

Probably wishful thinking, as even though the Discovery Sport is on the horizon there doesn't seem to be much by the way of great offers on the outgoing Freelander 2 - my local dealer advertises £34k after finance discounts for a run out Metropolis trim and £36k(!) for a 3month old ex demonstrator HSE, too much IMO for such an old model that's about to be replaced. I'd rather save my money and upgrade to the Discovery Sport when it arrives.
To right. Cant see anybody in their right minds paying those figures for a run out model.findlay_MX said:

LR branding never came off the RR's except the early Evoques.
Whilst the Evoque might not have had any LR branding, 2010 facelift Range Rovers didn't have a LR badge on the back, the wheel centre badges changed to Range Rover for 2012 etc. These have changed back and the engine badge is changing back to LR now.Gassing Station | Land Rover | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
