LR branding never came off the RR's except the early Evoques.
3 lines, up to 15 or so models. Very exciting.
Exciting and worrying at the same time…3 lines, up to 15 or so models. Very exciting.
I'm interested in all new LR products, but like many die hard LR fans, I'm eager to see how JLR are going to deal with the Defender replacement.
BMW did it with the Mini and many said it was impossible to replace the original mini with something that would be as successful. BMW managed it. I still think the R53 MINI is a fantastic looking car. It all went down hill after that!! Lets hope that LR can get it right

BMW Mini was really nothing like the original though, it was a modern interpretation. As such it was what it should have been, progress. I'm confident that new Defender will be a modern interpretation and much more relevant as a global car for Land Rover. That's my understanding, the first ingenium engine due late next year in the DS will be the 2WD eD4 variant.
Funny enough I accidentally down loaded the Euro spec PDF when abroad recently. It also shows the TD4 and SI4 engines are available there, including a base cloth seated S spec.
Seems they want to keep it high end spec and hence price in the UK.
