Here's another one in the flesh. Looks a bit better than the one above IMHO.

Good find! The only item I'm not liking so far is the analogue dials (rpm and speedo) on the dash - may be the production models will have the lcd type as per the full fat Disco and RRS?http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic20787.html

The dimensions make for interesting reading, not as tall as the FL2 and less than 10cm longer than the FL2 (which IMO hasn't a huge boot as it is) yet they've fitted 2 additional seats whilst retaining room for a spare wheel underneath - I'm keen to experience for myself this triumph of clever packaging!http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic20787.html
I think it looks great, but again assume the demos are all top of the range, highly specced vehicles - will be interested in having a poke around a more modestly specced car when they arrive.

Some more pics from the Boat show...
In summary, the front seats are great, loads of room, and plenty of adjustment. The rearmost seats are tiny, and the leg room is very tight. The panoramic roof is a nice touch, and the inside felt as though it would be a nice place to spend time in if you were stuck in a traffic jam. I think the big eye-opener for me was that the model on the stand was £80 shy of £50k!!!

I too went to the boat show today to look at the DS and dream about the luxury yachts!
Agree with previous posters slightly underwhelmed, it didn't jump out at me and say buy me. That said it is a nice motor and a step up in luxury from the FL2. I look at it as an Evoque with more room.
Tempted to get an early build slot as I think it will not only pick up where the FL2 left off but take a fair few orders off the Evoque market too, I hope residuals will be strong.
Here's some pics. Actually really like the Scotia Grey, bright silver/ platinum in the sun and the slight green tinge comes through as the clouds dulled the sky. Not sure about the gold/stone colour myself! The sat nav / infotainment is pretty good, won't be surprised if that's not rolled across the LR range soon as it makes the current systems look and feel so 1980's..

The photos are the production version, so what you see is what you get. Current Disco doesn't have LCD dials. Discovery Vision concept did. Who knows if it will make it to production. Before long, I can see us using the term FFD (Full Fat Disco) RammyMP said:
+1 way too expensive!
That's what people said about the Evoque, new RRS and RR but LR can't make enough of them 3 years on. From the dealer feedback I have, the new DS is in similar demand. The average depreciation on the Evoque has been less than many less costly vehicles, so the original purchase price is pretty irrelevant to the overall cost of ownership unless you're going to keep it for 10 years and then it's marginal.
Of course, the new DS is not for everyone.
Had the chance to take a look at a couple at Burghley earlier this month, I must agree that it was slightly under-whelming, if very smart. I do much prefer it to the Evoque though.
- I like the dash, it definitely has more Discovery than RR in it, which I prefer.
- The Pano roof is great, although you don't get the benefit of it sat up-front. Also as yet, they only offer the fixed version.
- Even as pre-production prototypes, the fit & finish and the quality of materials used throughout were often very good.
- 3rd row seats are indeed tiny, but could well be useful for a majority of people who buy them.
- The new Kaikoura Stone colour (replacing Nara Bronze) is a superb colour in the flesh.
- 20" wheels look smart, but don't look over-sized.
Expensive I know, i spec'd my up to £44k which is way more than i feel comfortable spending!
I really hope it doesn't depreciate at all, but am i foolish to hope this?
I know if i bought a well spec'd Evoque when they were new out, i'd have lost about £10k over 3.5 years
less than £3k a year depreciation, i could live with that,
I once bought a 5 year old 911 Carrera S, which my friends thought i was mad for buying,
kept it 3 years, lost £4k in depreciation, which was less than they lost on there hatchbacks
But,,,,,
have you seen what £44k buys you in full fat Range Rovers! 2010 or newer, 4.4 TDV8, loads more car!
but there currently depreciating like a stone! and have a long way to go until they level out!
how long will it be until the new shape FFRR comes into my price range?
