Any pointers tips? A two year warranty is probably a good idea I suspect !

Thanks, I went on RRSport as well.

I went to see it yesterday but didn't drive it. It wasn't for me. I realise it is easy to be scared by Internet horror stories, but I read a fair bit about turbo failures in the RRS TDV8. It wasn't the engine that drew me to that car, more the price and finance package. I thnk I would be better suited to. SDV6 or a TDV6, so that is where I will look.

I also didn't like the alcantara/leather combo in that car.

Not thought of going for the FF at that sort of price? Should be able to get the 4.4tdv8 with the 8 speed box.

I did see a few FF 4.4TdV8s but they were more expensive and the finance packages are too much for me to stomach.

Out of interest, what sort of finance deal were they offering you on that RRS?

My indie reckons the TDV8 a far, far better ownership proposition than the 6 pot

Had a TDV8 some years ago, engine was sound but it was the rest of the car that caused problems. Bought from main dealer at 3yrs old and had full warrenty, which was used regularly. Even though it had problems I still loved it.
