Discovery, Kia Sorento or Hyundai Santa Fe

Hello All,

Over from the Porsche forum. We are moving from Surrey to Shropshire next month and sadly had to say goodbye to my p and j (a Cayman). Will have roughly 40 miles of commuting a day on mostly back roads. We need a vehicle that will cope with bad roads and bad weather but also must be able to tow a horse trailer with 2 horses so will need a capacity of 2200kg minimum preferably 2500kg or more. The budget is around £16k or up to £350 a month with a couple of grand deposit. My head keeps telling me a Disco as the other two it would be cutting it fine on the towing front. What should I be able to get and what should I look for. The reason it is between these three is that the O/H isn't happy to drive anything bigger.

Disco is huge as in a full size 4 x 4! I'd add a Jeep Grand Cherokee The tow limit will start restricting your potential list of cars.
