I've never leased a vehicle, but am considering replacing an existing FFRR with a new leased one. Ideally I'd like to choose the spec, because I want rear entertainment and deployable side steps, but I am unsure if that is even possible.

Anyone with any knowledge on this please?

Leasing is great for cars which depreciate hugely as it fixes your costs. But if you expect your FFRR to be worth more at the end of the term than you have paid, then HP it and pocket the overpayment at the end, rather than the lease company.

I'm also considering this. Never leased a vehicle before, but it does sound like it could make sense. Will watch this thread with interest.

Hi Gareth - I've still got my FFRR that you helped me with buying back in 08, and it's still going strong. Superb car. Re your response above, my thoughts are that I've never owned a car that is "worth" anything like I expected it to be worth, and I guess part of that is because I prefer to sell part-ex rather than privately. So on that basis, leasing should be a no brainer right?
