My stereo occasionally works perfectly.
9 times out of 10 though it is affected by what seems to be a cut in the supply & to the music, so you hear a split second of music then it cuts out. This Repeats.
Same thing whether on Radio or CD.

I notice the orange circular button light always flashes when this problem occurs.
When it works fine, no flashing.

All the other instrumentation read outs seem to work fine & are on continously like MPG , distance etc.

Any idea as my local Independent didn't seem to have much of a clue & choice is limited where I live.

Any pointers appreciated.

Would be interested to see if you ever get a fix for this. Mine, if I'm watching tv/video seems to drop the sound for a second every few seconds. fortunately I've only watched a DVD about 3 times whilst sat in the car, so not such a big issue for me. smile

First thing I would do is a Hard Reset which is a battery disconnection, then touch the cables (NOT the battery terminals!) together and then reconnect the battery. You may need to use some wire to bridge the gap between the cables (I used a jump lead).

Kind of a Pennicillin for a multitude of electronic sins!

You have the disconnect/reconnect procedure here:

Also their Wiki:

The fullfat site is a mine of good info so if that does not work then ask away there!

I had similar on a 12 plate Westminster when G4 came out on mobile phones - Radio would cut out and restart - on certain roads it would be roughly same place - it lasted for about 6-8 weeks ..... it happened again a couple of weeks ago up in Lake District whist on holiday. May be alien activity ??
