Nah my man, from reading your posts in here you have a knackered attitude. And Knackered manors. Might want to get those looked at too.I have a knackered hip and they are a godsend
back on topic, I love the SVR. and would have it over a Porsche Cayenne Turbo, but admittedly I do like how aggressive the new X5M looks so its on par with that for me. No doubt the RR is the better place to be sat in though!

Agree on the new X5M... Park Lane have one in shop which I had a look around at the weekend - am arranging a test drive as it ticks a lot of boxes !back on topic, I love the SVR. and would have it over a Porsche Cayenne Turbo, but admittedly I do like how aggressive the new X5M looks so its on par with that for me. Love the pictures. Seriously considering changing my FF 4.4TDV8 for one. Do you mind me asking what sort of MPG you're getting on a motorway run? Thanks. Edited by V8LM on Friday 17th April 08:23

Looks indentical to the one I followed from Hathersage toward Bakewell. Very nice. Cracking looking cars and while the Cayenne Turbo may or may not be faster, it's not tall enough to really be an SUV these days, much more a crossover in that dynamic. Plus, being Porsche, I suspect that by the time you've added some basic options like a steering wheel, seats or body the price will be higher still. And finally, seeing as Range Rover are the daddies of the luxury SUV market it only seems logical to have a mental, road focussed car.

Was probably Michael Vaughan returning from visiting another house wife.

Nah he's in Baslow. His wife had a go at me once as I followed my mountain biking pal up a side road and into the courtyard outside his house (as my friend wanted to show me where Michael lives). Cricket obviously didnt pay well but the free LR products do help I guess. Ah, they must have moved Baslow quite recently as it was always on the way between Hathersage and Bakewell.
As I live there..... baslow is a left turn at Calver. If you are coming from Hathersage through Grindleford you would go via Hassop and not via Baslow to Bakewell. :-) Gazzab said:

I appreciate that you live there, but having met plenty of locals I'd argue that isn't the best qualification

I know it's terrible! Chap posts a pic of his new car and this GC chap comes along to insult !
Some more fuel.Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and it's a great thing that we all here can express what we think. This car is bonkers.
This car is epic.
Also did you opt for the panoramic roof?
I absolutely the cayenne turbo and the fact it is the most dynamic of the 4x4s super class. However from an aesthetics and acoustics point of view the SVR has it smashed to oblitherines in my view - I think the turbo just looks a bit too conservative considering the firepower it packs.
I personally think it looks epic

bloody horrible - enough mesh to build a chicken enclosure!
even Khan could probably improve on that?
Range Rovers are supposed to be about understated class - hence why many feel the 'Sport' should not carry the Range Rover badge - at least in the UK - in China etc they can call them what they want
In relation to this muppets opinion, yes a full fat range has more class than a sport or SVR in your opinion and thats fine, but it sounds like you're personally attacking rather than constructive criticism - and before you level any 'you're a pov' at me I am a student so yes I am poor.even Khan could probably improve on that?

A FF RR suits your needs split tailgate, better off road etc, clearly to V8 the SVR suits his requirements perfectly. Thats all that matters you as owners of your car
I think the SVR is a massive achievement for its first product in such a short period of time, and shows great promise for SVO at JLR - can't wait to see what they do with the F type now - project 7 is fantastic imo too.
Hope I don't sound like too much of a prat, congrats too anyone getting an SVR
UPDATE:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3043213/Go...
Any new RR owners should really protect themselves to things like this, unless your car is always garaged/protected.
To my knowledge the only system that can prevent these thief's using an OBD port / clone key is a cobra Cat 5 alarm system - or an old fashioned steering lock?
Can any owners comment on this issue? As apparently JLR are refusing to say there is an issue with the keyless entry systems on its cars.

I had SVO do a bespoke interior. I liked the Ebony/Cirrus interior but knew the seats wouldn't be compatible with wearing jeans. So I have black seats with the Ebony/Cirrus interior. The seats have Reims Blue stitching.
[
Yes, I have the sliding pano roof - the sense of space and air is great. The only factory option I don't have is privacy glass as I think that spoils the lines.
JLR and SVO went above and beyond to make my purchase special. I had a day with the pre-production blueprint car (the Goodwood one) including time on JLR's test track, and got to walk alongside my car being built. And if that wasn't special enough, they timed the launch of my car down the line so it was the one in front of this:
SVO also engraved the key fob to mark the uniqueness of the car.
On the subject of the Daily Fail article, if it's the one I think it is, then the car wasn't locked when the clip starts, but the interior light was on. So I suspect the crim had sniped the key fob code and unlocked the car. If the car had been double locked using the door button and not the remote then I doubt it would have been so easily taken. I understand JLR have made changes to the security system too.

Im shocked that you remitted the privacy glass - but quite a few people don't like it and everyone has opposite opinions on it, some people think you look like a drug dealer with it others think it improves lines... All depends on personal opinion.[

With regards to cirrus, you could've gone all cream providing you have good products to products to protect and maintain your leather - its obviously more to maintain cream than it is black seats.
That said your interior works well, and I think the Panoramic roof is essential on dark seat interiors - to some it effects weight/driving dynamics but I don't think you're ever going to push a 4x4 to 9 or 10/10ths to assess that!
Also think they key is a nice touch, but I think it would be a nice option to have the key colour coded to the car? I think that would be even better just an opinion so take it with some salt... nonetheless a cracking looking car, Ill keep my eye out for it in Notts, but I haven't seen it yet!
