I have a deposit on a 1993 110 double cab pick up With a 300tdi engine
Did a check for the insurance online with the reg number and it came back as a 1983 109 pick up 2.25 petrol.
I then checked the Vin No and that also shows it as a Series III 109( mentions Stage 1) 2.5 petrol with 4 speed gearbox
How can this happen the vehicle is a 110 with double cab body. The double cab body would not fit on a 109 chassis would it. Also it is registered with the DVLA on a L plate

Well... IIRC, the double-cab pickup didn't get released until the early days of the TD5 engine (late 1990s).

I think I will have a chat with the Dunsford Collection just to see if its a prototype. It unlikely but I will check before I buy something different.

It is Not a prototype it is as good as ringer.
you will risk every penny if you purchase what could turn into a pile of stolen parts..
or just a cobbled together selection of parts equally not worth it.
buy a decent one without such a shady history.
