Hi all

Looking at going for a Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE an wanted to get an idea of how much an 3YR extended warranty might be. As you all probably well know when going for a range this age you may start to get issues. Don't suppose anyone could recommend a company or have an idea of prices?

The renewal quote for the LR Approved Warranty with my 2009 D3 is roughly £1100. It's a good warranty though and has paid out about £6000 this year with no excess.

I believe the usual warranty companies want about £800 or so but I've heard too many stories of them refusing to pay out so will be steering clear of them!

Two years ago I paid Warranty Direct about £1,600 for 42 months' cover on a 2008/78k D3. No 'wear and tear' getout clause, and 'betterment' can be negotiated away - for a small premium I was also able to go for a higher grade of cover than would normally be available on a vehicle of the same age & mileage.

It's paid for suspension bushes & wishbones, LPFP, HPFP and a good deal of peace of mind over the past two years.
