Can anyone advise me on the best dampers for my 92 RRC, car runs air at present it has Monroe dampers these feel a little "crashy" have been told they are an old design shock and there are better ones on the market. The car spends 99% 0f its time on road, so off road capability is not paramount

cheers

What about Fox with OEM mounting from prolinx, if you don't like the ride\valving you can re-shim them (or get prolinx to do this). Quality solution...

Thread resurrection - are your Monroes gas?

Looking for new shocks for mine (also EAS) and from what I've been able to gather, they ride better than Bilsteins - if the ride's harsh when they're in decent condition I may just go for the OEM oil ones.

Thread dredge.

Fit the Boge/Sachs/ZF OEM dampers (STC2380 and STC2381). Price is great and the ride is too as these are valved for the EAS classic only. You don't need to buy genuine to get the LR boxes though.

Bought Monroe, haven't got around to putting them on yet - as far as I'm aware, the OEM for STC2830/1 was Armstrong and they're not gas.
