I'm looking for a new set of tyres for the Range. Tyre size 275/40/20. At the moment it's running on continental sport.
Any recommendations of a good tyre and a website that's best value/cheapest around
Thanks all

Michelins seem to last me about 35-40K miles compared with 20-25k on the the original Continentals. Had 2 sets of Michelin now and will fit them again

Pay your money and take your choice... However, it always sends a chill down my spine when I see someone using the words "Cheap" in relation to tyre choice!!

FWIW - I've not tried the Michelins, I tend to use the Pirelli Scorpions but I've never liked the Continentals on the RRS.

Why?

He said the best tyre from the cheapest supplier. Nothing wrong with that.

If I was considering fitting road tyres to my Sport I'd go for the General Grabber GT.
That is based on my experience of their all-terrain tyres. So others might disagree. However unlike most others brands General are SUV and 4x4 tyre specialists.

Absolutely... (Though actually he asked for a "Good" tyre. wink )

...and by the same token, there was nothing wrong with my statement either. I'm always wary whenever anyone starts using the word "cheap" when talking about tyres!!

A bit late to this thread. Before Christmas fitted a set of 275/40 x 20 Kuhmo Izen winters to mine. Worked great in the Alps, not noisy and autoroute handling in the pouring rain was just fine.

£430 for a set of 4 plus fitting and so far, so good.
