As above, when it was last used i noticed that the steering was getting heavy and was very Notchy / grounchy around the centre and then going to a left or right lock, but fine near full lock on both sides.

I have disconnected the hubs, they are ok and track rod ends seem fine, I'm thinking it's either the 2 steering column UJs or the steering box itself, any ideas anyone ?

Or these 2 UJs, but I'm thinking it's the steering box that is worn.

Give the column UJs a good soaking with a good penetrating oil (not WD40) as they can get stiff, esp if got wet or not used for a while - it's a common issue.

I have disconected all the track rod ends and the steering is very bad, I noticed that the seal @ the base of the steering box has dropped down, so guessing it's the bearings in the box that are breaking up.

If the box has had it I'd suggest fitting a recon box as replacing the seals may not last long due to the shaft wearing as well where the seal rides. If the box was in good order apart from that then I have seen an article where a speedi-sleeve was used successfully on the shaft.
