Mine is a 94 car so has a cat. Getting a new exhaust system is being complicated by this but as my car has its emissions measured on lpg do I actually need one?
Think you'll find that if the test station computer shows it being fitted with a cat as standard then it will fail if there isn't a cat - or something that looks like one - fitted.
