P38A to tickle the V8 itch.......
Discussion
Well I have just bought a blue P38A in 4.0 HSE trim to tickle the V8 itch. Sounds lovely on the test drive and wafts nicely. Now to find out which set of ownership stories are true - the joy or the nightmares.
We pick it up later in the week, so roll on the weekend! (I did not want to take it home on slick tyres they do not fit the image)
Regards,
Ed

I am into my second month of P38 ownership. No major problems so far and seems like every journey is a quality event!
Mine's a 2.5 DSE so it is not the quickest thing on the road but the imperious driving position and total comfort of the piped cream leather interior makes it a lovely place to be.
Hard to believe that you can get so much car for the money and who knows, they may even follow the Classic ones in value!? Best of luck with yours.

I've had my 1995 P38 near on 15 years, and having probably spent a similar amount to shentodj over that period, I can't face letting it go for the £1K that someone would now probably offer for it. Last service bill came to around that much alone! That said, it was an everyday driver and hardly ever seriously ever let me down. I wouldn't have ever said that it was a horror story.
I also upgraded last week to a Supercharged FF, but hope to keep the P38 for the heavy-duty stuff, and as mentioned above, in case prices start to rise!
Good luck!

Took the Rangy down to Goodwood. It worked a treat given the amount of flooding, very slow traffic on the M25 etc. It was fun in the muddy car parks, watching others sliding about.
One fault it does have is intermittent air conditioning- not good with the humidity today, so,first set of bills I guess......
But it is fun.
