Thinking of RR but security issues putting me off

When you buy a new range rover etc they should ask you how many keys you want up to a maximum of 10.
Once these keys are made they block off the KVM (keyless vehicle module) so that no more keys can be created for the car (which is primarily the way they are being stolen)
If you lose all the keys though you'll need a new KVM.

They also have the in touch app, after a car is stolen the vehicle can be "bricked" so that it no longer works.

When I picked up my L405 I was told the keys that come with the vehicle are the ONLY keys that will work with it, and are hard coded to the car...so don't loose them. This was an MY16 change by LR to address the key cloning issue.

This has been offered as a recall so existing current shape RR's should all have been rectified.
