I've got a RRS demo for this weekend. 2 days to really try the car out and decide if I should go ahead and purchase my first 4x4.

Any tips on what to do/not do and any ideas of roads to try it out on. I live in West London, not too far from Heathrow.

Goes without saying there's not much rugged terrain round here!

Drive it on roads that you are going to be using regularly and don't waste your time finding a green lane if you'll never go down one! Just enjoy driving it for the weekend, great car.

You'll get a complimentary off road day with the purchase to really see what they can do.

Agree on driving it on my regular boring roads, M25, M4 and M40. But I'd like to do some other roads to get some fun in it.

I did the LR experience 10 years ago, was amazing and am sure they've moved on quite a bit since then in terms of tech. I was only in my early 20s then so wasn't going to buy one!

Get it on a motorway and waft along at speed for 4hours.

Take it through some muddy fields.

Any idea where I can find a muddy field open to the public close to West London, Bucks, Berks, Surrey or Herts? I lead quite an insular life on man made roads!

The only way to go off road properly is head to the LR centre in Luton Hoo. Alternatively if you are feeling very brave you can set a route in your sat nav and ask the Nav to take you off road! There is a setting that allows you to do this!

Think he might have got stuck down a narrow bridle path trying to see what the car could do
