Sportshift clutch.

I bought my V8 Vantage N400 Roadster from AM Bristol last year, there is a judder on it when it's cold and intermittently when it's warm, I've had it into them twice and AM Wilmslow once, they keep re setting the learn procedure and keep telling me it's a characteristic of the car. I don't believe them unless everyone who owns one can confirm.
I would say they just don't want to do anything under the crappy warranty they gave me with the car.
I have resigned myself to the fact I will have to pay to get something done, does anyone have any feed back on soortshift upgrades etc.
The car has done 25000 miles

How old is the car?I would say they just don't want to do anything under the crappy warranty they gave me with the car.

When cold my 4.7 has a slight judder pulling out from the end of my road but I have always put this down to it being on a slight incline as my old 4.3 did the same. My clutch was changed at 19k (I know the previous owner and she lived on a hill and drove it in stop start traffic on said hill like a normal automatic).
Despite this maybe it is worth asking if they can just let you try one of their used cars around the car park to see if its similar?

Has the clutch ever been replaced? I would say they just don't want to do anything under the crappy warranty they gave me with the car.

Do you know if it's had a full clutch learn procedure carried out?

I am not sure, it has full Aston history though so I will check that out, .
Can you tell me what it should be and why that would make the difference.
I'm wondering if it's actually the rear differential that's the problem. If the wrong gear oil was used (or if it's too old) that might be causing the rough operation of the rear diff while cold. Gear oil is very viscous when cold, so if the problem goes away when the transaxle (and the gear oil within it) gets warm, I'd look to that. Can you tell me what it should be and why that would make the difference.

Had a similar problem on my 2007 SportShift Vantage. It is on its second clutch which has about 30k on it. Did relearn every time I drove but problem persisted. Found the cause when I bled the brakes, seems the dealer bled the brakes as required for normal service intervals but didn't bleed the clutch which is on the same fluid circuit. Took a bit to finally open the bleed valve and get nasty black fluid to come out. The valve was blocked so who knows when it was last bled. Once it was clear everything closed up nicely. Driving the car the judder was gone, seems the lack of clutch bleeding caused the problem.I would say they just don't want to do anything under the crappy warranty they gave me with the car.
