Hello
I got a flat battery. Now up and running, but the digital dashboard between the analogue speedometer and the analogue rev counter is dead. I can't activate cruise control either. Haven't found any other errors yet.

I suspect a fuse got blown when jump starting or using a booster battery pack.

Does anyone know which fuses these two are and where I find them? I think some are in glove compartment and maybe boot area.

Will try and buy the fuses online and replace.

Thank you!

When you say youre now sorted do you mean you charged up your old one or bought a new battery?

Cheers

Thanks for your reply. I have not changed the battery. Just recharged it through driving after the jump start.

The cheap option is to change the battery...

...but you need to ask yourself why the battery was dead. Chances are it was caused by corroded contacts on a door switch or something, preventing the ECU to go to 'sleep' when locked.

Battery was dead after 19 days of non use. Cruise control is now back. Digital panel still blank after 6 hours of driving.

The worry is that the jump start if not carried out as per RR instructions could have damaged the panel. Can you ascertain if power is getting to the screen?
Vis-a-vis driving to try & recharge a battery that's unlikely to happen & the battery should be fully charged with a battery charger - or a good substitute tried - to rule out low charge. As already said, many modern cars are very intolerant of battery problems & can throw up all sorts of weird issues.

Thats very helpful. Thanks. Will give it a proper charge. There is no life in the display screen :-(

Do a reset.

disconnect the negative from the battery 1st and then the positive, link the two cables together with a jump lead and leave for five minutes.

reconnect the battery, negative 1st and then try the car again.
