Had mine now for coming up to two years and 10,000 miles, which is longer than I've kept any car.

Delighted with it

I have the 110 V8 Carpathian. It is brilliant and I agree with those who said it is almost as nice as a Range but more practical (and way cooler). It was the same price as the new Diesel Range (were parked side by side in the showroom). It’s comfortable, fast, great stereo, enough toys to keep me happy and everyone seems to love it.

I do have an issue with the engine though, since new which they haven’t been able to fix and may result in me rejecting it (I am around 7 weeks in now, it spent a week back at base but came back still with the issue). No excuses really, that Supercharged V8 and 8-speed gearbox has been around for years.

Thing is if I reject it I cannot think of anything else I would rather have, so will likely just order another one and buy a £20k LR322 to pootle about in until it arrives.

We've had our D300SE since July 2021. It's been back to the dealer once for a recall with the aux belt. Other than that there has been zero problems. It's been a fabulous car for us and has done many road trips. We're taking it to Morocco this summer.

It was a 2021 car so just before supply chain issues so we were able to get most of the toys - digital dash, larger screen, ClearSight mirror etc. We got the Country pack which means mud guards and full height load space partition. I definitely recommend both of these. With the ClearSight mirror it means you can fill the boot to the ceiling and still have perfect visibility.

It is a very tall vehicle though (2m) so you need to pay attention to max height signs in car parks.

Thanks for that.

We now have a test drive on Tuesday (last one postponed to illness), so will see how it goes

Very nice. Surprised how smooth and powerful it was. Very nice driving environment.

Going to start looking for one with the right spec in a few weeks after holiday.

Nice. Mines the D250, I came from an SDV6 L494 RRS. 308 bhp I think. I don’t feel short changed with the 250 but wouldn’t mind a D300. The straight six is a nice engine.

Typical JLR nonsense:

Received this today from JLR. I have apparently been put into a Customer Satisfaction Program “free of charge”.
When I read the letter basically they are now going to provide me with the second key for the car which I purchased about 11 months ago. How is this being provided with “free of charge “ anything? The kicker is I have to take the car and leave it with them all day for them to code the new key. The key for my Dacia took 10 minutes start to finish. There really are some twits working for JLR.

Had my 90 X-Dynamic SE for six weeks now. What a fantastic and superbly capable car. I love pretty much everything about it apart from the available load space (not an issue in the 110). Done over 2,000 miles and it’s been 100% reliable with most journeys getting over 40mpg from the D250 6-cylinder diesel. Only issue I have had is the ‘matrix’ LED headlights (which I didn’t order but were fitted FOC) just don’t do the blanking out thing they are supposed to do and I have deactivated the matrix feature and just use them in the old school way. Super happy with everything else though!

I was sat in ours today after dropping one of the kids off. It’s Santorini black and absolutely filthy, inside and out. You know what? It doesn’t matter it’s a Defender and bloody brilliant.

How are you getting on with Santorini? I presume it’s metallic?

It’s a great colour. Metallic Black same as our previous RRS. Full drug dealer spec before anyone else chips in. It looks brilliant when it’s absolutely filthy or spotlessly clean. It’s the bit in between that makes my teeth itch.

Interior is black with black headliner for practical reasons. We also specified the full length fabric roof which is probably our favourite feature, I used it today.

I like Santorini but equally like every colour except white. I think they are missing a trick not offering a lovely metallic Aintree Green. I think that would be stunning as I have seen 110’s wrapped in metallic green and Matt Olive Green which both looked great.

Thanks for that. I have a second one on order and was thinking to change from Eiger Grey.
