Not true

I don't know if there is a cut off or it depends on the vehicle and ins co

I have a 2005 BMW which has been insured as a classic for more than a year

Any pointers on where to look? I tried a few and got a bit bored trying any harder once a couple had commented that 2005 isn't old enough yet for a classic policy.
I moved mine on to my Flex policy with Footman James as an additional classic. Made a massive difference going from standard to classic. Mine is a 2008 Supercharged model
I'm with FJ too, and they didn't offer a classic policy to me. However, it is a standalone policy rather than an additional/multi-car policy, so perhaps that's the difference. Seems as though it is a worth a call though, just to check again, thanks.

Hello.

I've bought a 2012 and it needs rear lamps as they've gone cloudy.

Has anyone tried the Chinese ones? E.g. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/374573647674

Can you polish these, like it is done for headlights?

Been watching a few L322 on AT and eBay and they're just not selling, which is doing wonders for ours - Not...

It's even the more desirable 5.0 and 4.4 which are not shifting, probably won't be able to move ours on for an L405 so will probably chuck money at our's; Pirellis, Android Auto few niggles here and there etc.

Winning and actually stumping up the cash are two very different things.

Well there's an indication of what someone is actually willing to pay. £11,250 for a very nice 5 litre V8 on fairly low miles.

Well the recent sales are a little depressing. Made the decision over the weekend to put my 5.0 SC AB up for sale, once it's cleaned and ready, and was hoping to achieve 5 figures but that's looking a little less likely now.

Prices do seem to fluctuate fairly frequently, I wonder why.

Similar problem with various cars like this once they drop into serious enthusiast only territory. They are old enough to be worth peanuts especially if you start to look at book values or we buy any car.

Distressed or desperate sellers will have to let go for whatever they can get. Or they might get a warning light or two appearing and start thinking no more bills please, not now. So they decide to cut and run.

Then there will be the sensible middle of the road owner who has spent a reasonable amount on their car and believes buyers are still out there willing to pay reasonable money. This person will wait for a while and then may lower their price, or px it away.

There is the deluded owner who stands their ground asking a high price and never sells. This person will either wait forever or give up selling and just keep the car.

There might be the odd buyer out there willing to pay a little more for their own reasons like believing they can find the best one available or one with certain maintenance items completed making it a safer bet. But generally as prices drop even the most enthusiastic buyers will start to think should I wait or just pay less or both.

Let's be clear, anyone who buys a 15 year old range rover is a special kind of person. And there are not many of these people around. And as everyone starts to feel the pinch from higher int rates and an economy in recession the pool of these buyers will only get depressed. And more and more indecisive owners will drop from feeling happy to keep running a very very expensive car to thinking get shut and move on.
