Personally it hasnt grown on me,i think its to fat around the middle, and the rear lights look cheap. Also the fact that its got a BMW lump in it doesnt go down to well, but thats about to change.Land Rover are doing there final testing with revamped jag engines to go in them,so it all cant be bad.

Nice from the waist down but above the waist it looks like it narrows in towards the roofline. Also look a little lopsided (like the old shape BMW 7 series does). If anyone has one spare for may bank holiday I will be happy to take it for a jaunt down to Cornwall and write a full review on my return!!!!

The new RR is one of the few new released cars, which attract me:
cast alloy doors
decent enignes
top exterior and interior design

I have, and i can honestly say i didnt think it offered much more than my range rover, which was the previous model.

I like it, but then I've always been a Land Rover nut so I'm biased.

It seems very capable and whilst I love the looks it does seem a bit 'big'. Each model revision takes it further up in terms of size, spec and price which would be a issue for me if I had that much cash spare due to the concerns with 'electrical gremlins'.

I know it has to differentiate itself from the Discovery but I still look back fondly on the classic Range Rover which to my mind was perfect for the market it was aimed at.

I think they look rather menacing on the road and the fat middle tappering to the roofline gives the impression of stability on the road. For me, the interior is sheer luxury. I wouldn't do any mud plugging in it though at 60 odd grand although it is one of the most capable off road vehicles out there. And it does 130 mph. Luxury, speed, off-road ability, definately in my lottery win garage.

i saw one in cheltenham the other night... v nice, black, with sprayon tyres, must have been 21/22" wheels!! they must have had the suspension reprogrammed as they were driving with the wheels inside the arches... not one for sailsbury plain but v impressive none the less... oh.. & it was a V8 recon it must have been done by JE Engineering or Overfinch as the BMW lump... dare i say it.... sounded quite nice!

Wheels sitting inside archs?...ermm,sound very much like an EAS fault to me.

Alot of the switchgear I believe is from 7 & 8 series beamers.

I think i would prefer it once fitted with the jag engines, although the one I was taken for a spin in certainly went well (4.4 V8 Vogue)and very impressive interior.

Still think the back end looks similar to a black cab or Fiat Synergie though.
