Thanks - would appreciate any info on the side steps.

Sounds like you got a good deal - I bought a Defender TD5 Silver Edition on an '06 plate with 7k miles (aircon/toys) from BCA auction for 15.6k about 2 weeks ago (original invoice stated 25.8k new!) - gets lots of respect the road. It is an acquired drive I grant you but my 4 year old loves it to bits - and thankfully so does my wife who drives it !

Yours is an amazing colour.

Ive just sold my Fury Bec to get back into my 4th Defender 90.

I miss not having one, and I enjoy winding up anyone who asks why Ive got a hulking big 4x4.

You can have fun without going fast too.......

Fantastic motor! If only I could persuade the wife we need a 3rd car...

Think defenders and landies in general aer great and it's up to the individual to spend their money how they choose without people being so judgmental IMO (naming no names wink )

Just read this thread, had to check that I was on PistonHeads! Expecting to read "why do you need a car that goes faster than 70mph" next.
Lovely Defender btw, very useful vehicle, hope you continue to enjoy it.

What a boring, negative little what'sit you are! The guys thrilled with his new car and already there's someone who knows better! I'd ditch the crystal ball too if I was you. Chop and change my cars with the weather but had the Landie for FIVE years now. Never get bored with it - it's part of the family and'll never be sold. B****y long honeymoon!

I've had my 90 for 14 of its 22 years. I still love it and was out in it last night.
I have 3 cars but the Ninety is my first love and is in my will, and since I'd just hit 40 at the time that says a lot biggrin
