Series 1 80" Weber Carb Problem

I have a series 1 1952 80" Lanny. I have fitted a Weber carb to improve fuel economy. It seems to have worked however I am unsure as to whether the mixture screw is a fuel or air adjuster. Which way weakens the mixture? Is it inwards or outwards? Any help appreciated. Thanks

As far as I know, screwing it in (clockwise) weakens the mixture on all Webers. This effectively lessens the amount of fuel allowed into the carb.

Thanks-maybe now the Lanny will be able to go past a fuel station without stopping and collecting more petrol!!!
