I've bought a Defender at last!
Discussion
Hi to you all.
After two Discos and two tax exempt Series 3s, I've eventually bought a 200 TDi 90 Defender, and very enjoyable it is too.
I have a few niggles (as you do with a 17 year old vehicle) and am looking for some advice.
1. I have extremely rusty door bottoms (especially frame) and am too tight to pay £100+VAT + postage to have them refurbished. Has anyone successfully repaired theirs?
2. The fuel guage doesn't work and the light stays on. Is this likely to be a short in the feed wire to the sender unit, or a faulty sender unit
3. I have a huge grin on my face - is this normal?
4. Why don't Range Rover, Discovery, and Freelander drivers wave?!
Thanks to you all.
