have a range rover sport connected the phone but the numbers do not transfer over the screen just has the number but not the contact

It may be the phone.
My Tomtom would not access my phonebook but works fine now since changing my phone to a different model.

There is a recent upgrade for the car.

I had the same issue with my Sony Ericsson W880i and the upgrade seems to have sorted it.

I do think the system is crap though - peronally.
