p 38 not starting

hi i am hoping someone can help. i have a p38 dse which won t start. i stop the car to go to the shop. and when i returned the key fob would open it so unlocked with key . but because the alarm is still active. it won t let engine start and i don t have key code.

Hi, this means that the alarm receiver is not working properly.

You can get the EKA code from your local main dealer, but be prepared for twenty marking questions....
You will need to let them see your log book and two pieces of id, AT LEAST.

There is an updated reciver available which your main dealer can supply.

thanks for that, its a right pain as need car. and not so easy to get to main dealer. my fault i surpose for not getting code.
