Seriously considering getting one and doing an under floor LPG conversion.
Ticks all the right boxes in terms of speed, comfort, image.

Has anyone done a successful LPG conversion on one of these and if so what was the approx cost ?

Many Thanks

Recently had a 4.4V8 converted. "Prins" is probably the best system to find. Budget for around £2k for the conversion.

Well that's a start. Is it underslung or does it impact on the boot space? Also how many miles do you get out the LPG tank. I want the biggest tank possible so i dont have to visit the pumps everyday lol

i have been in a lpg'd one of these, the guy who did my RR LPG conversion was doing a SC at the same time.

just make sure you go to a certified lpg installer and expect to pay at least 2.5k.

you will not be disappointed (if done properly!)

Is the octane of lpg higher than premium fuel?

Or does it affect speed somewhat?

With a decent conversion, performance wise you'll never know the difference. As far as installation goes, on the big RR a 95l (75l useable) tank goes in the spare wheel well and gives a range of 240-300 miles, depending how gentle or otherwise you are being.

Not sure where they would locate the tank on a RRS as the spare is underslung. My guess would be that you'd lose the wheel and they'd stick the tank there. I've seen Discos with them in that position.

LPG is higher octane than unleaded (think 5*) but the calorific value is around 15% less ergo to get the same power it needs to burn more fuel which means consumption on LPG is about 15% less than on unleaded. Cost wise, you are effectively doubling your petrol mpg overall.
