Hi Folks,

its re-insurance time for the p38, and since e-car have jacked up their prices this year, Im wondering who you use? It's a 2002, unmodified, if that in any way relevant.

Anyway, theres a free packet of space-raiders and a flood dmaged curly-whirly for the person that supplies the name of the broker who returns the best price.

Thanks in advance smile

Direct Line (online) for me..... very competitive when I insured back in April - not sure how they would fare today though.

I insure through Elephant for the P38, fully comp and it is absolute peanuts really at £250. Also try Diamond as although they have identical websites (guessing the same people behind the two sites) the prices can vary by £20-odd between them.

Try NFU Mutual.

Beware of some cheap insurances. You may not get a loan car and some excesses are cumulative (standard policy XS + young driver + Voluntary = very large excess).

After deep scepticism I used 'confused.com' to serve up a range of quotes. As a result I'm with Elephant now as they came in at half of the Direct Line direct quote and numerous others also beat them too.

Lots list RR as a different brand (and rightly so).

sadly, they dont do that either.

nor do they reply to emails.

nor do the prices they generate often mean the actual price.

I wonder if prices have taken a hit after the invincibles pelting through floods last summer and writing off their RRs.

its definitley gone up. Im old, have 10 years no claims, no points, live in a crime free zone, and nothing has changed in the last year, yet the prices are all 500 quid more.
