TD5 Discovery Leak
Discussion
You can get to the sunroof without removing the headlining. It is a bit of a pain but it is possible. Don't think that just because the rain is showing at the front, it is the front sunroof at fault.
The sunroof mechanism is held on with torx screws. Remove the sunroof and give the glides a good clean and regrease. clean the roof and apply a generous bead of sealant to the frame of the sunroof where it meets the roof of the vehicle. Tighten it all up and when the selant has cured, clean it off with a sharp knife.

, everyone told me to check the sunroof drains and the welded seams at the front end of the rain gutters for my Disco II's leak, but it turns out it's just the top of the windshield leaking. The sunroof mechanism is held on with torx screws.
