automatic disco 03 td5 engine management problem!!!

hi all,

having big expensive engine problems with my 2003 td5 automatic disco please help!!!

the management light comes on approx after 5 miles drivin from cold car will then stop. the car will then start back up again but wont let me drive only rev. if i leave this for approx 40 minutes the car will then be fine again and then can be a good runner for a while and then same thing happens every now and again. also when car is cold it wont go into top gear until stoped and restarted again.

this has been to garage and had the following done to it

new fuel pump in tank
new air sensor valves
new crank case sensor
new filters

any idea on what is wrong with this disco?

Will it drive if you click down to 1 and then shift upwards? If so it could be a fault with the auto box where some of the cams flip...
