Has anyone else noticed "v12sportsandclassicsltd" ?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/v12sportsandclassicsltd/...

Started from 20 ish cars 18 months ago, typically have 350-400 cars at anyone time.

I asked them about their warranties :

"We dont offer any warranty but you are covered by your standard consumer rights which covers you for any fault which is deemed at time of purchase, so long as you can prove the fault is pre- existing "

Seems to work for them

Fairly sure that sold for £9900 + £270 in auction fees at BCA Bedford last week.

Add on the cost of delivery... Very slim margin

Ive just started selling again part time i have around 6 cars and park them in 2 local hotel car parks smile and sell from home when people ring i travel the few miles pick them up drive threw the car wash on way back and home before they get there so keeps costs down but its a hard game
im aiming for around £500 mark up on a 2k car but might be dropping my mark up to £300 to try and do 2 a week

I have noticed the mileage on everything has gone sky high since the new mot makes it harder to clock everything and people are much more aware of there rights which to me are crazy how can you have the same rights on a 1k car with 120,000 miles on as you do with a 3 year old 20k bmw with 12'000 miles on

The short answer is that you (the buyer) does not.

Hi guys,
I’m thinking of setting up a used car dealership and currently in the process of preparing my business plan.

I’ve read and noted many points of what’s been mentioned in your postings.
It’s really helpful

Im grateful if I can get more information about car stocking finance houses to check their costs, etc...
Thank you all

I’m not sure you’ll get a stocking loan as a new start business, especially at the moment. In terms of cost, when you can get a loan, expect to pay 3-6% with the good finance houses (MotoNovo / Close Bros etc.) or circa 8% with someone like NextGear (owned by BCA) who are more lenient with their lending criteria, but by all accounts are very difficult to get away from.

In my opinion, you need to use the capital you have and build your portfolio - it’s a great idea stocking lots of £20k plus cars, but the margins often aren’t any bigger than they are on a £5/6k car; plus your risk is a lot higher.

Start small, control your costs and focus more effort on the buying than the selling, as that is where the profit is made!

Good luck 👍🏻
