I happen to have just started something, but it's going to go slightly over the £100 budget. Seems to be a nicely timed coincidence though, so I'm happy to report back here on how it goes if anyone’s interested—but I’ll be out of the contest, I think.
A friend and I are kicking off a small monthly club night at a local venue. The two of us will DJ, promote, book guest artists, etc. Perfectly normal deal, nothing special other than our established names and fanbase. (Neither of us does nightclubs/DJing for a living - it’s just a bit of fun on the side.)
Our venue hire for the launch night is £100. So £50 each. There’s additional expense of printing up some flyers and posters - which will take us over the permitted £100, although probably only by twenty or thirty quid.
I’m only mentioning it here because the budget is very close to the £100 challenge and the timescale is spot-on … we lay down a deposit and start promoting later this week—and if it’s not in decent profit by March we’ve failed and we walk away.

I might not be in much (or any) profit by march, but if I've got the application built by then I'll be reasonably happy, so I'm going to use this thread more as inspiration than anything else.

Check out Saxoprint. Got 10,000 business cards printed the other week by them for - £52, including courier from Germany! Turned up double sided printed as well!tinman0 said:

Cheers! I’m a designer by trade, so have plenty of local printers who owe me favours … I’m sure that’ll be useful to some of the other folk on this thread though. 10K is one hell of a deal for that price.Frimley111R said:
Day 1!
Predictably my website was not ready to roll today. I am trying to apply the final bit of polish to it but as I am a relative novice with websites, and not a graphic designer, I am struggling to get it how I would like.I think I may just draw a line under it in a few days and say near enough is good enough so that I can crack on and see if the idea actually works.

Righto, time is at a premium for me and breaking a car ain't gonna cut it so i'm gonna go for some Automotive art and see if it sells.
I have a garage full of spares so i'll try and value them as part of the £100 to keep it fair. If it works out, i know i'll be able to pick up the component parts for peanuts.
Let the games begin!

So had my first deal off a car forum in America.
I paid the equivalent of 98GBP for the parts from my local franchise in Bangkok. So my deal is as follows;
Parts 4860THB = 98GBP
Sold 425USD = 263.45GBP
Shipping via EMS with tracking 1400THB = 28.22
Paypal fees 17USD = 10.53GBP
Total Cost = 136.75GBP
Total Profit = 126.70GBP
Please forgive my not revealing too much detail.
