I am going to try something stupid so I am in. Cost: £100 camera.
Then realising it's bad that I recognise that couch.
Potental earnings of "$1000 to $5000" a day though
I have spent £11.45 of the £100 on eBay listing fees so far. Cost of product (1kg) delivered by royal mail £3.67, listed for £8.75 delivered. And I am the cheapest person on there! This could get interesting. Another one, £6.00 per litre cost delivered, listed at £26.99, again one of the cheapest. Been on there 24 hrs now, viewed a fair bit but no biters yet.
Mate of mine sells animal husbandry products on eBay and makes himself nearly 60k a year, slightly larger investment than £100 though. Runs it all off an iPhone! Spends his time sailing and drinking!

Are there any rules about doing this multiple times? I have 2 or 3 ideas that would lend themselves very well to this type of thing. Obviously its more work on my part but is it allowed?
I don't see why not, essentially its £100 per idea. The more ideas the better the chances of a successful outcome. I've edited the rules to include this too.Edited by Frimley111R on Thursday 13th September 08:52
I don’t have a spare £100 with which to join in, but here’s an idea:
- The iPhone 5 was announced last night and will be on sale in a couple of weeks. It uses a new, smaller dock connector which Apple are calling ‘Lightning’.
- EU phone regulations mean that all phones must have Micro-USB connectivity. So, in the UK, Apple are selling Lightning to Micro-USB adaptors for £15.
- They are not on sale outside of the EU.
- Buy up five/six of these and stick them on eBay to sell to Americans at as high a price as possible.
- Use the profit to buy a larger stock and do it again.
- Keep going until you get bored and cash out.

I see there is a now a start date for the challenge, but some people appear to have already started. So far, I have only purchased domains, software and a couple of logos from Fiverr.
There's a lot of work in getting my idea to the stage where it is ready to start accepting customers so would it be against the rules to prepare my idea ready for launch on 1st October?

Nice idea poprock, but they do sell a lightning to usb cable, which is probably just as, if not more, usefull, and it's only $19 dollars.
Ah, well spotted. I didn’t put much research in!Mind you, there will still be a market for an adaptor that lets people use the chargers etc from their other phones (whereas full-size USB lets them use laptops etc). Blackberrys and HTCs are all Micro-USB, aren’t they?

Yes. I'd rather carry an adapter than yet another lead.Mind you, there will still be a market for an adaptor that lets people use the chargers etc from their other phones (whereas full-size USB lets them use laptops etc). Blackberrys and HTCs are all Micro-USB, aren’t they?

I don't think so. We're only talking about a few days before a whole 6 month period. There's a lot of work in getting my idea to the stage where it is ready to start accepting customers so would it be against the rules to prepare my idea ready for launch on 1st October?

Not sure about blackberries but my HTC charger (and lots of others) have a full size USB socket on it that you plug the micro lead in, so the USB lead would work fine. Also £15 is $24, add on ebay/payapal charges and US postage and your getting to $30 dollars before you add on your profit. I'm not saying that you couldn't sell any, just that the market would be pretty small for a $40 adapter over a $19 lead.Mind you, there will still be a market for an adaptor that lets people use the chargers etc from their other phones (whereas full-size USB lets them use laptops etc). What's all this about a sofa & camera, can anyone tell me what's going on?
I have been researching this extensively today and it would appear it refers to a website that documents a rather unorthodox job interviewing procedure, for certain acting positions which would only be suitable for adults.Gassing Station | Business | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
