Advertising on Linked In
Discussion
I have a product that has a niche, professional audience. Among the strategies I am employing to market it I am seeking to buy email marketing lists, advertising on Google with PPC and I have also decided that having my adverts show beside certain Linked In groups *might* be an avenue too. The fact that Linked In randomly emailed me yesterday with $50 free adverts sealed the deal!
So I've now set up a Linked in campaign but I have no idea if it's any good so ideally I'd like an expert to look over it and make suggestions - you know just like the many Google/Bing PPC experts that are out there - but I can't seem to find anyone with specific Linked In ads expertise.
Any one know anyone who might be able to help?

Waste of time in my experience - as was Facebook advertising.
The only online advertising that really worked for me was a good, well-run Google Ads campaign, coupled with decent SEO and content updating work on my website.
Oh, and despite what you might think - having some well-targeted Yell.com ads backlinked to my website also drove in a huge amount of traffic. Yell is a very active site that Google seems to like a lot in terms of driving traffic to your site and upping you in search rankings.

Ad blindness is a big problem for LinkedIn and most of the other social sites. If you want clicks then you need an ad with a kick-ass offer or an attention grabbing headline. High impressions and very low click-through-rates is the norm and you can't compare the stats to search engine PPC systems.

Interesting. I had always dismissed Yell.com but in your advice I will look again. Thank you.BTW, now 12,000 impressions, no clicks. But I think I've got someone who knows LinkedIn to have a look and they will probably do so next week. If anyone is interested I'll let you now how I get on.

Do Linked In ads get shown on mobile app? More people are using LinkedIn via smartphone & tablet...
Most people? As in the majority? As in more than 50%? I'd be very surprised if this was true. I would have thought most people use LinkedIn whilst bored at work and thus access it through desktop.Gassing Station | Business | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
