Do Google want everyone on PPC? Or do they accept some will never pay for advertising. Google itself makes nothing from SEO does it? Where is this going long term?

No, its not correct. And its unfair to anyone else reading to give such crap info and pass it off as being correct.

They don't make any money from SEO. Basically all of their search income comes from the paid ads. But they need the natural results that they make nothing from to be good quality, otherwise people stop using the search engine and then can't click the paid ads.

It's just as crap to say it's all based on bounce rate. Google's algorithms take many variables into account, including page speed and server location which neither of you mentioned. As Frimley says, this is not the topic to go into such depth.

I'm not saying its all based on bounce rate. I'm saying bounce rate is a factor, time on page isn't. Sure its not a topic to go into depth on it, but its unfair to anyone else reading to just give a 1 sentence statement that is basically a load of turd and completely untrue.

How do you know time on page isn't a factor?

I've tested stuff like that (hard to test and the results be valid, I know).

Apart from testing, common sense should tell you it can't be a real factor. Check what time Batman is on at the cinema, page answers query instantly. 3 seconds on page but a happy user.

Or they could land on a page full of crap about batman, they spend several minutes trying to find the info which simply isn't there, and leave in frustration.

Checking who clicked further google results is a million times better as far as looking at how visitors liked your page.

Ok, so it's an opinion not a fact.

I don't think you can ever say you are 100% sure anything is fact as far as seo goes. With this, I'm as sure as you can realistically be. It makes no sense for it to happen any other way.
