Just had a bright idea, maybe.

I have the space to put in a small gym for employees (3) and I have a shower facilities on site. Im thinking of an exercise bike, rowing machine and treadmill.

If I did, would it be a legitimate expense of the Ltd and would employees using it suffer any BIK?

As long as it is just for staff and no public use is available then there is no BIK.

Yup, if it's on site, and not open to the public, then you're absolutely fine, no BIK.

Provide a gym membership to employees, then there's BIK implications.

The larger items of equipment should be available for Capital Allowances - and probably the Annual Investment Allowance of 100%. Make sure you check all this out with your accountant.

Thanks Eric, will do.

I may hire the stuff initially in case the enthusiasm dies quickly ...
