Hi,

We are forming a company and need to decide which registered address to use.

What are the pros and cons of using our home address (which will be our trading address) or our accountants.

Thanks.

Choice is your various posts on here address this at length. My advice was always not to reveal home addresses at CH and others because of the nuisance value. You need to get proper professional advice before deciding and you may not find Accountants overkeen if there is heavy usage. With internet theft as it is I do think revealing home addresses is best avoided.

Agree.
Just had store credit taken out in my name, the fraud team advised that the scammers are using details from ltd company data available on line.
Stopped in time after receiving a letter saying thanks for applying.

That is the growing problem with such accessible information. The Internet has changed all our lives forever and in many ways for the good. But Internet fraud is becoming really big business and identity theft is a real problem nowadays. I always suggest minimising the risks by minimising the listings you appear on. Privacy is going to become a very valued commodity. Regrettably it is sensible to be aware of the changes and risks new ideas bring. Keeping identity very private is just one of those precautions. I would never recommend public listings of such information.

Though the OP would run his business well enough for this not to happen one hopes.
