Barbers shops in airports, would it be financially feasible?

Ignore the sharp objects bit. Just had my first morning coffee and am thinking a bit more now. Food places have knifes so it might not be as much of an issue.

The food outlets have useless knives, yes metal but of no safety risk... maybe safety scissors would be allowed....
The Virgin lounge at Heathrow has a hairdressers and massage area amongst other things. Obviously it's free if you are there on an Upper Class ticket, but if you have to pay the pricelist is here:

As mentioned above, personally I could think of nothing worse than having your hair cut just before a flight, unless I had a change of shirt in my hand luggage.

Given that barbers seem to have disappeared from railway stations in recent years, I'd not be too optimistic about having them in airports.
Actaully, why has that happened? There used to be barber shops in loads of railway stations.

the hairdressers i go to use a cover thing so not sure why you would change your shirt. If it such a dead cert money maker, why are there not barber shops at every major international airport already?
I have had a cut in the Virgin lounge before (free) , but I did have a shower after and get changed before onward travel. I wouldn't want to be laid in bed for 10 hours on a flight after a hair cut....would need a wash n dry after
I cant see it myself ...I pay a fiver for a trim every 4-6 weeks at the village hairdresser...30 mins of my life including getting there/back

I think it could work. The rent issue isn't so bad, because it doesn't need to be fully on the prime retail frontage, it just needs a good enough "front door". First floor windowed space and a good entrance might work well, for example.
I'd pay £30 for a haircut in an airport - anything to alleviate the boredom.

To be fair, there are barbers in airports all round the world; it's very common in the US.
To be even more fair there are barbers in every village, town and city in every country on the planet. 99% of them charging considerably less than one in an airport. Why not get the haircut when you arrive?I've had my hair cut in several countries. It's a bit of a lottery dependent on language but it's not likely to be a disaster. And there's always the no guard option if it is. FFS man up, get it done in a foreign backstreet and put the thought of paying £30 (for a fking haircut?) to bed.
£30 haircuts mean you are in a hairdressers.
Whatever you do don't open one in Glasgow. It wouldn't last five minutes.
