I've been meaning to post about eBay for a while now - two main annoyances are:

1. As said above - when buying there are 10,856 results all of new products from big sellers. Hard to find bargain auctions. Even the new products are listed as auctions too so this doesn't get around the problem.

2. When selling nobody bids until the last few minutes - yes I understand why and I also do it as everyone else does but it needs to think of a way to reduce this. Ok I realise that in this example the item might only have the market value I ended up with but this to me is a prime example :

Listed a £200 (when new a year ago) printer for £50, good advert on for 7 days, nothing happened apart from plenty of watchers. Gets to the last day and expect a few last minute bids but none ever came. Waste of 7 days. So follow the trend, list is as 99p. Same thing with watchers and no bids. Then in last minute a few bids and it sells for £10!

Maybe it was worth that little but it feels like this trend of not bidding is resulting in people missing the end and therefore getting less for your item. It's not a good place to sell if you are worried for 7 days that you might only get 99p for it. Reserves and starting prices seem to put people off too much.
