My company uses Cater Allen and has done for many, many years. Lately they've become part of Santander but seem to have kept their own identity pretty well. The application process is by post (IIRC after recommending a friend previously) and they're all about online/phone - but you always get straight through to someone. Probably not good if you actually needed to go into the bank for any reason such as paying in cash (unless the new Santander aspect helps that now).

Whoever you go with will want a face to face. I'm with Barclays and can't really fault their internet banking, and mobile service. But I've never needed credit from them.

I've never had a face to face with any business banking types.

Santander will handle online and post.
Cater Allen will do all online and post.

Will probably be different if you want borrowing.

PS I'd go Cater Allen given a choice.

Same.

Can be a little frustrating at times to always have to fill out paperwork and post it to change any details, etc.

You get standard 'over the counter' services provided by RBS.

HSBC here. I can't fault them at all.

My online application was initially rejected and I got called in to meet the manager. When I asked why he said he couldn't specify details but asked me if I have any links with the Middle East, which I do. Anyways, the account was opened instantly for me and I've never had a problem.

I use Cater Allen.

No issues with them over the four years or so I've been using them, which while not particularly exciting is an unusually good banking experience for me.

Hi,

I'm in the same place. I've been recommended Metro Bank. You have to set up face to face but apparently you get everything you need at that visit. No waiting for cheque books and cards etc.

Your profile doesn't say where you are, they are only London and outskirts based at the moment but growing fast.

No association. But I can feedback on my experience after the weekend if it helps.

Another vote here for Barclays.
The mobile app is great!
