Ladies and Gents,

I'm currently looking into starting a civil engineering/ground works company in London. What is the typical insurance cover these types of business have. I'd be looking to start of with a small crew of a few guys a van and have plant a equipment worth around 15k.I'd be looking to get in with bigger companies so would need a good level of cover.

Thanks

I think the default PH answer here is "Insurance Jon".

We use him and I can highly recommend him and his team for their expertise and willingness to answer my noddy questions.

It is, and I'm at your service squire. When are you needing the cover in place for? I'm on holiday until 15/10, but if it's more urgent pm your contact details and I will get one of brokers to get in touch with you.

Essentially you need public and employers liability insurance and either own plant cover or contract works cover with a plant section on it

Don't forget you'll attract and retain good quality staff if you offer them some Group Life Assurance....
