Recommend me a suit
Discussion
I had to get a suit at a moments notice the other day (My posh one is 15 years old and a moth had got to it) so tried Next. Got a wool blend suit for £130 and is a very good fit.
Not sure about longevity but I hardly ever wear one and everyone thought I looked really good in it.
As Barney Stinson would say "Suit Up!"

Did it manage to sway the jury? Not sure about longevity but I hardly ever wear one and everyone thought I looked really good in it.

I'm impressed with the fit of the Next slim fit suit (i'm 32/3 waist and 40 chest) that cost around £100.Not sure about longevity but I hardly ever wear one and everyone thought I looked really good in it.

Sorry to bump an old topic, but can anyone recommend Slaters? Living in the country, and needing something for Friday means I'm limited to them or M&S. The offer of free alterations may sway it for me as I've never actually had a suit before, so wouldn't feel terribly comfortable trying one on in M&S and deciding myself whether it fitted.
I can actually.
I popped in a couple of weeks ago on a saturday needing a suit for interview on the Monday and having tried Next for all of ten mins (suits fitted terribly but my missus did call me "stumpy legged" )
Picked up a Ted Baker one for circa £220 which they altered that avo for free and it fits beautifully. They also had a really nice Aquascutum one in for £400.
The salesperson was really helpful and picked out a number he thought would suit (badum tish)and brought them over. I popped out for an hour for a coffee and popped back and collected the altered suit which I was very happy with. If you are near the Brum one they have a TM lewin opposite for shirts etc.
I know not much about suits etc so it was helpful for me to have the reassurance of a person that did when making sure that it all looked ok....

I've had 2 suits from Slaters and while the service was OK (no better than any other generic suit shop) the suits themselves were cheap and nasty. Your run of the mill M&S/Debenhams etc will be better for your £'s IMO. Gassing Station | Business | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
