One thing to be wary of is people giving you advice based on their experience, when their experience isn't relevant to the market you are operating in. For instance, someone who set up a successful electrical retailing chain, and who made a lot of money before selling out, might try to base his advice on what worked for him.

But things are different now, as for instance the owners of Comet (who I worked for 30 years ago when they were doing very well) found out.

Judging by the website of Entrepreneurs Circle, I'd be very surprised if 'Nigel' doesn't have an agenda to monetise your participation for his personal gain, so approach with care.
Of course he does, it's a business.

I signed up for the "free" book, £180 later I don't see the value in it for us. But Thought it might be of interest to the OP.

If you are looking to grow however, I can't recommend Growth Accelerator enough.

I have had a couple of business mentors, one not too good and one very useful. They have both been arranged for free through the Chamber of Commerce.

Both were retired and the one who I meet now used to run a large construction firm. We meet once a month a discuss how the business is going and future plans. I find it very useful to speak to someone who has build a business from scratch.

I would try you local Chamber of Commerce. I am not a member and was still eligible for the mentor program.
