I think the type of person who will call them is the type who doesn't currently SEO or understand it but wants to get higher up "the pecking order" - this type of client (I guess) will be the worst to have as I see a lot of "I`m not higher yet" type calls daily
A friend of mine got done over by one of these companies. They do actually get you to #1 on Google, but for a term which is so specific no one actually ever searches for it.

But it doesn't seem to bother the likes of Yell, Infoserve etc who prey on these types of customers and don't seem to care about how you're actually doing.
They aren't the same thing. Yell for example (or whatever they are called now) highlights how many page impressions on their site your business with get (overlooking the fact that there are 20 per page!). This isn't lying but it is (may be) misleading.

What I don't understand is how come the eventual winner's identity isn't leaked by an insider, month's before the first episode is screened..(as it is recorded in advance)...which of course would spoil it for everyone.
Most of the series recorded months earlier, final is a day or so before broadcast. (But yes, still amazing how the secret is kept)

He was on BBC this morning saying they have hyphenated climb-online and were aware of this issue at the time.
Still incredibly poor forward planning especially for a business that sells it's self as improving your online presence.

They've lost a huge amount of free publicity.

All it needed was to think of a unique name before the start of the apprentice or even just before the last episode

What is his actual business plan? I didn't hear anything about what he was actually going to do, or how? The whole plan sounded like 'sell SEO to companies'. Could mean anything? Who's going to do the actual SEO'ing? Doensn't matter, we'll sort that out when we get to it. How's £250k actuall going to be spent... sort that out when we get to it, etc.

He did mention he would outsource the actual SEO work so his office will just basically be sales staff, I'm hoping he employs James and Daniel from this series as sales staff for the comedy value.

The format of Apprentice has been ruined in the last couple of series since they introduced the £250k investment, when deciding who will win, Sugar knows the business plans which we do not and is hiring and firing based on information we do not know and who will make him the most money. Although if anyone remembers the Amstrad eDialer they will know he is not always correct

Yes, its easy to say 'What about this or that?' but it's a TV programme which can't let us go through all the detail of their business plans (not that Soloman had any it seems hehe).
